Wow, and what a beautiful Earth Day it is! Hope you get a chance to see your bees flying like crazy today!
PSBA celebrated Earth Day this year at the 5th Annual Newcastle Earth Day on Saturday 4.20.13. It was colder and wetter than today, but a good turnout all the same! Bruce Becker brought an obervation hive and we were selling honey, so we pretty much had non-stop traffic all day! This is only my 2nd time working at a PSBA event, but it is so much fun to teach people about honey bees…you hear “WOW, I had no idea!” a lot! The general public just has no idea how amazing bees are…thank goodness for PSBA and the fantastic volunteers that came out to support our mission!
