On May 19th, the Obama administration published a National Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators. This was in follow up to the President Obama memorandum on pollinators from last year. The goal for Honey Bees is to reduce the colony losses over winter to no more than 15% within the next 10 years. The strategy is comprehensive and aligns to the Washington State Honey Bee Work Group recommendations released late last year – as highlighted by this Capital Press article:
