Bees, bees, bees

Christine Ranegger, PSBA Neighborhood Captain for West Seattle, will present an introduction to orchard mason bees, bumble bees and honey bees.  Depending on how much time you want to invest there is a bee for everyone.

When: Tuesday, February 17 2015 – 7 PM- 9 PM

Where: Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 N.E. 41st Ave., Seattle

Cost: free

How Can I Help Honey Bees?

  • Avoid using pesticides – insecticides don’t discriminate between insects.
  • Plant pollinator-friendly plants, especially local native ones to provide good sources of nectar and pollen.
  • Create a water source in your yard for pollinators.
  • Encourage others to plant bee-friendly gardens and to avoid pesticides.
  • Donate to PSBA!
