Honey Bee or Yellow Jacket?

Insect Comparison: Bumble Bee, Yellow Jacket, and Honey Bee

From a distance, the easiest distinguishing feature is color:

  • Honey Bees: More subdued. Colors are typically black, brown-tannish, or orangish. They appear fuzzy.
